Using the Buret
1.) Attach the Buret holder to the stand and place the buret in the holder. Make sure the buret is perfectly vertical as this is necessary to take proper measurements. 2.) Check to make sure the valve on the buret is horizontal (closed) . 3.) Use a funnel to fill the buret up with solution slightly beyond the desired volume. 4.) Remove the funnel before opening the valve. 5.) Place a waste container underneath the buret. 6.) slowly turn the valve towards the vertical (open) position until the buret is draining at a rate of 1-2 drops per second. 7.) When the bottom of the meniscus (cup shaped line between liquid and air) has reached the line of the desired volume, close the valve.
