  • Remember to bring your calculator, and whatever pens and pencils you like to use.
  • The study guides, detailing the material for which you are responsible, are on this site.
  • I'll have office hours today, from 2PM to 3:30PM
  • During the exam, remember to budget your time!!! Look at the questions, and divide your time between them appropriately - if you spend too long on one, you may not get to another.
  • Please be on time !!!!

9/14:

  • Preliminary "Things to Know from Chapter 3" is up!
  • Solutions to HW #2 are up on this site.
  • Solutions to Practice Exam #1 are up (in "Homework Solutions").

9/12:

  • The closure of the University yesterday afternoon due to the airplane attacks in NYC, DC, and PA impacted three of our recitation sections. The first four sections met; University was closed during the fourth. Therefore, in order to be as fair as practical, I will be collecting homework #2 from Sections 18, 19, 20 today, after class, until 3:00 PM.
  • Unreturned homeworks (for all sections) are available from my office.
  • Homework #3 is available at lecture and for the rest of the week from my office (324D).
  • Regarding regrades: please first consult the posted answer keys for the way in which we allocated partial credit, etc., before requesting a regrade. Forms are available from my office.
  • Your TA's have new office hours, held in the 1045 Help Room, first floor HTL. These are:
    • Jason Co: 2:30-3:30 M, 11AM-12PM Th.
    • Karyn Usher: 2-3PM T, 11:50AM-12:50PM Th.

  • Clarification of Homework collection policy: Under normal conditions, your homework is due in your recitation section. If you are unable to attend, you may submit it before your recitation section, but not after. Submissions made later in the day to the Instructor or Recitator's mailbox, or put under the Instructor's office door, will not be accepted.
